About the location

The public transport system in Launceston is excellent. You can walk to the bus stop from my apartment to board a very efficient bus service at a very low cost. There are also express coaches and long distance coaches to almost anywhere in Tasmania. It is a small State and all major regions are accessible within two and a half hours and less by road. There is a vehicle available with the unit. Brisbane is a 2 and half hour jet flight from Launceston.
I come from the mainland but Tasmania is the most beautiful State by far with an abundance of breathtaking scenery including beaches, waterways, mountains and abundant wildlife including the Tasmanian Devil, seals, pure white wallabies and penguins. The climate is temperate in summer and quite cool in winter.The Great Lakes and the Highlands experience snowfall in July and August. The seafood and staple meals are a culinary delight.The apartment has a Queen size bed and a foldout double bed in the lounge. The apartment is fully self contained with modern appliances. There is a vehicle available if needed. There are plenty of walking and hiking trails in the mountains and by the lakes in all of Tasmania.
