Spacious and comfortable, 3 bedrooms, overlooking a nature reserve.
Spacious & comfortable, 3 bedrooms overlooking nature reserve. Every room except one bedroom has doors onto a balcony or courtyard. A colourful level entry onto a welcoming porch.
The vestibule also contains an independent staircase to an upstairs "granny flat" occupied by our single daughter. Her close proximity would also be an asset to any exchanger for information on our house and contents, as well as travel information.
The split-level design allocates you 3 levels. .. At entrance level are the main living room, two bedrooms, and a bathroom.
Up 4 steps towards the rear are the kitchen / dining, master bedroom and small ensuite. 3 double doors access to the wraparound balcony with rear views over Ponds Creek. Directly under here at lower ground level is another living room that includes office facilities for your use. The Utility Room /Laundry here also has an adjacent shower and toilet. 3 doors open out onto a significant paved area where the perimeter hedge provides privacy in the soft grass courtyard and gate access to the reserve.
There are six independently controlled air conditioning units. There are TV's in both living rooms and the dining room.
At this time of writing, our storm damaged pagoda will be replaced before you arrive. This outside area is highly suitable for entertaining.
About the location
The suburb is Dundas in the district of Parramatta, named the "Cradle City". It is the first Australian settlement outside the "First Fleet" landing site in Sydney harbour. Our country`s history may be short but it is well represented close by. Our arable land provided food for the new settlers and convicts.
Before you arrive, a brand new tram service every 10 minutes will start to provide quick access to Parramatta and the extensive Sydney train network. It passes along "EAT STREET" offering many food options. We travel to Sydney CBD by car (30 mins), by bus (65 m), train 25 - 40 m), and our favourite, ferry (75 m). Our local ferry terminal is Rydalmere, four minutes drive from home .. Parramatta has grown into a major CBD but has retained a significant heritage culture.
Australia is a huge country and you need to explore extensively, so, the ideal answer would include a car swap. We would place no limits. Canberra is less than 3 hours away and you should explore our coast and the world class beaches. For example, the new Sydney Zoo has wonderful spacious areas for the individual species to be seen in the best possible environment. You can be there in 40 minutes. (There is a toll pass within the car.)
Sydney has a lot of toll roads, but all have alternative routes. Travelling to and from the airport by road becomes very congested. Experienced travellers prefer the reliable train network. I would be very happy to answer your questions and reply with information and advice on whatever I am capable of. I have some time for research!
