Our three storey, three bedroom semi-detached century home has been fully renovated but still has all of its original character. The main floor includes a cozy living room, with an original fireplace, a dining room and fully equipped kitchen with all appliances including a gas stove and convection oven. The kitchen opens onto a large shady deck, covered in grape vines in summer it’s a lovely place to enjoy a glass of wine or a BBQ on a summer evening. The front porch is also a lovely place to sit and enjoy.

The second floor features two bedrooms both with US sized double (full) beds as well as a full bathroom and a large family room with a smart television (Google, Roku and FireStick), lots of seating and another (non functioning) fireplace. The third floor includes a large main bedroom with Queen sized bed and a second full bathroom. Another deck off the third floor is a pleasant place to relax as well. Laundry facilities (washer and dryer) are located in the basement.

House is air conditioned with three ductless units, one in each bedroom. A reliable gas furnace keeps the house cozy in the winter. Depending on the exchange, indoor or outdoor parking may be available.

About the location

Our home is located in Ottawa’s Glebe neighbourhood, a wonderful leafy fully walkable area with many older homes, fabulous coffee shops, many restaurants, two grocery stores (incl Whole Foods), drug stores and lots of interesting retail. It’s a 10 minute walk to Lansdowne Park or the UN World Heritage Rideau Canal for skating, biking or boating, a 20 minute walk to Parliament Hill. Our home is directly on Ottawa’ network of bike paths and lanes. Public transit to downtown, universities, museums and other points is only steps away. Outdoor trails and skiing in Gatineau Park are only 20 minutes by car or bike.
Ottawa is an interesting bilingual, multicultural city with lots of museums , restaurants and areas to explore. Montreal is an easy 2 hour drive or train trip. It’s only 1 hour south to the US border.
