Mariner’s Cottage

My home was built around 1812 and it has many original features. It has a driveway and a front and back garden. Inside it is a warm and comfortable space where my family was brought up so it is child friendly. It is a bungalow but the attic has been converted into two rooms and a bathroom, reached by a spiral staircase.

Downstairs there is a lounge and a dining room, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms.
In all there are three double beds and two singles, I also have an airbed for emergency guests!

About the location

We are located in Leith which is the port area of the city of Edinburgh. Leith has been developed over the last 20 or so years and it is now a vibrant and popular place to visit with an abundance of restaurants, some with Michelin stars, bars, pubs, cafes and other attractions such( as the Royal Yacht Britannia and Leith Distillery.

It is about a 40 minute walk into the City of Edinburgh but we have excellent transport links - bus and tram. Edinburgh itself is a world class city with incredible history and a never ending supply of things to do and places to see.
