Shetland house with spectacular ocean views

Looking for a house sitter and pet sitter 10/10/24 - 28/10/24 and over the christmas break too (2-3 weeks). We have a beautiful lab called Halle Moon and two lovely cats, Jack and Splodge.
Situated a few meters from the sea and the cliffs the house has spectacular views from many windows.

It’s a well equipped and comfortable property. The house location feels rural, but we are actually on the edge of the town (5-10 mins walk) where there are lovely boutique shops, cafes and restaurants.

Fantastic walking from the house and (in the car or bus) amazing walks across the Shetland Isles. The house is an ideal location to be based for an exciting exploration of Shetlands archeological sites, marine life, bird life and fantastic country side.

About the location

Lerwick is a lovely town. With a population of 7,000 it isn’t large, but its facilities are wonderful with a great arts cinema, leisure centre with pool and gym, wonderful library that visitors can borrow from, great shops and restaurants to suit all needs and tastes.

Otters and Orcas can be spotted all year round (if you’re lucky) in Shetland, and the northern lights are often visible. Whether you want a relaxing site seeing tour of the Iron Age and Viking sites, or you want to wild swim, or kayak (we have a sea kayak and a 3 person inflatable for borrowing) or hill walk Shetland has it all . Especially great if you like knitting - Shetland is a paradise for knitting, crocheting etc.
