The house is situated in a central position in the village of Wadhurst, voted the best place to live in the UK in 2023. It is adjacent to the church and within a stone’s throw of the High Street. The village offers an excellent range of shops including a good supermarket and post office, cafés, deli, butcher, pharmacy, bookshop, art gallery, florist, off licence, public houses.

Wadhurst mainline station provides a regular service to London Charing Cross in an hour and to the coast (Hastings) in half an hour. There is a regular bus service to the spa town of Tunbridge Wells.

The beautiful surrounding countryside is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and includes Bewl Water Reservoir, Bedgebury Pinetum and several National Trust properties.
