The master bedroom has a superking bed with a wonderful view of the Moor and good sized en-suite with walk-in shower. The other available guest room has a king sized bed; with the family bathroom (with bath and shower) adjacent.

The house has all the usual mod-cons including dishwasher; washing machine; tumble dryer; WiFi and smart tv.

The garden wraps around the house and has various seating areas to maximise the views and to enjoy the wide variety of birds that visit daily.

There is garage space for bike/canoe storage etc and off-street parking for two cars.

The house sits within a leafy estate and is located in a small and friendly cul-de-sac. There are several footpaths and cycle tracks from the estate to miles of open moorland.

The village:

Yelverton lies within Dartmoor National Park. It is 11 miles from the historical coastal city of Plymouth and 5 miles from Tavistock - an ancient Stanary town on the edge of the Moor with a wonderful bustling Pannier Market. Princetown, at the heart of the Moor, is also 5 miles away.

Yelverton is extremely well serviced and is known as the gateway to Dartmoor. It has a supermarket; post office; deli; pub; two bakeries; butcher’s; bike shop; gift shop; cafes; hairdressers; petrol station; doctor’s surgery and dentist. It also has Chinese Restaurant and an Indian takeaway. It is well served by buses to Tavistock, Princetown and Plymouth on the coast.

Activities:

There are many walks from the village in all directions as well as being located on the National Cycle Network (27) a beautiful off road track that links Plymouth to Tavistock. There is a tennis club; lawn bowls club and cricket club in the village and a highly rated moorland golf course only a mile from the house. Horse riding, fishing, climbing, mountain biking and water sports are all available in the area.

For those seeking a calmer holiday, there are many historic sites to visit including the National Trust properties of Buckland Abbey; Cotehele; Saltram House to name just a few. There are also plenty of art galleries, museums, quaint villages, theatres and cinemas. As you’d expect in this beautiful part of the country, there are a number of lovely pubs and eateries in pretty surroundings offering exceptional dinning experiences.

Trains - direct trains from London and Birmingham to Plymouth every hour; taxis to the house
Flights - to Exeter Airport (45 minutes away)
Sailing - Ferries from Plymouth with Brittany Ferries to Roscoff (France) or Santander (Spain).
