About the location

Ilfracombe is a fantastic place for a holiday. There is a sandy beach in the harbour whcih is great for small children. The harbour offers sea safari and fishing boat trips. There is also an aquarium with local fish and sea creatures. The internationally famous, Damien Hirst’s ‘Verity’, the largest bronze statue in the UK, guards the entrance to the harbour. There are pleasant and resonable priced restaurants within walking distance and an interesting selction of local pubs. From here, there is easy access to the South West Coast Path for walks of varying difficulty as part of the South West Coast path. Within a short drive there are award winning sandy beaches, which are great for surfing and surf schools. Within a 10-mile radius, includes Woolacombe (6 miles), Croyde (9 miles) and Saunton (10 miles).
