About the location

We live just over a mile from the centre of the lovely historic town of Warwick with its stunning castle, great range of restaurants, market and beautiful parks. The attractive, creative and thriving regency spa town of Royal Leamington Spa is a mile and half away also with a great range of restaurants, shops, parks, events and arts and cultural venues (including theatres, cinemas, gallery etc). For those interested in history, both towns are fascinating, in contrasting ways. Warwick has a rich medieval history and played a critical role in the English Civil War. Royal Leamington Spa is defined by the discovery of natural spa waters in the 19th Century and grew rapidly in the years that followed, not least because Queen Victoria herself particularly enjoyed the town. Both towns are within walking distance and are also easy to access via bus - the bus stop is right outside the house.

We are 10 miles from Stratford upon Avon, home of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and many fascinating attractions relating to William Shakespeare. The Cotswolds are 35 minutes drive away with lovely walking country and picturesque honey-stone market towns and villages. We love our walking and cycling - and the countryside around Warwick is great for both. Our bicycles are available for our guests and, as we live on a dedicated off-road cycle route, this is another great way to explore the area.

The vibrant City of Birmingham with its nationally recognised range of cultural attractions (galleries, theatres, concert halls etc) is 30 minutes by train. Leamington Spa train station is just a mile from our house and the excellent direct train service into central London takes around 1 hour and 25 minutes.

AIRPORTS - Birmingham Airport 30 minutes, Heathrow 1hr 15m away.
