Enjoy the view from our sunny deck, or take a short walk down to the beach for a dip in the ocean. Our recently renovated 3100 square foot home has everything you need to relax and enjoy your vacation. There is a large open kitchen/dining/living area with a gas fireplace, beautiful picture windows and access to the large outdoor deck with two dining areas and two seating areas. The home is equipped with a heat pump to keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
The large kitchen is equipped with double ovens, induction cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge with ice maker and separate bar fridge.
The master bedroom has a new king bed (coming November 2024) and sliding doors to the deck. The adjoining ensuite bath has a large shower with a bench and double shower heads and there is a separate toilet room. Heated floors will keep your toes warm if it's chilly outside.
The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, garden view and a bathroom down the hall with tub and shower. There is also a bunk room, and an additional living area with a gas fireplace and sliding doors for access to the back yard
The basement laundry room has front loading washer and dryer and an additional fridge and freezer.
You will also have access to a Dodge Grand Caravan, 2 bikes, 2 kayaks and 2 inflatable paddle boards.
We don't have a phone line and cell service is limited in the area, so you will want to connect to our fibre optic internet to use wifi assisted calling.
We have 7 grandchildren and 2 more on the way, so you will also find some amenities for children such as 2 car seats, 2 booster seats, a pack and play for sleeping, a booster seat for dining, a safety gate, and some books and toys.
In a pinch this house will sleep 11 people. There is a day bed in the office that converts to a king, 4 bunks, a queen bed, a king bed and an ottoman that folds out into a single bed.
We don't have a gym, but we do have some exercise equipment including a TRX and a spin bike.
We are open to short or long exchanges even if the dates don't line up.
About the location
There are lots of great trails for hiking and biking in Nanaimo and Linley Park is just around the corner. Neck Point Park and Pipers Lagoon Park also offer nice trails with fabulous ocean views and beaches to swim at.
Nanaimo is located on Vancouver Island, a short ferry ride from Vancouver, or a 15 minute sea plane direct to downtown.
We are within driving distance from Victoria, Tofino, Qualicum Beach and many other interesting spots.
If you don't feel like driving, there is a bus stop across the street for a route that will take you downtown.

My husband has lived on the island about 40 years, but I just moved here 10 years ago. We have done a lot of exploring together and have seen many spots from Victoria all the way to Port Hardy and San Josef Bay. If we haven't been there, one of our kids probably has. If you have any questions, just ask.
