The apartment is one of five apartments in a 100 years old converted wine merchants house. It is located to the rear of the house on the second floor. Two flights of stairs to the apartment, which is then on one level. It covers an area of 60 m2 and consists of two bedrooms with 3 comfortable beds (one double and two singles), a living room with an open kitchen. The kitchen is fully-equipped complete with an oven, a dishwasher, washing machine, a stovetop, a toaster, a kettle, a microwave, kitchenware and a fridge/freezer.

The bathroom comes with a shower room, a hairdryer and a towel dryer and a separate WC room. There is a small sunny south west facing balcony from the living room.

About the location

Marseillan Ville

The apartment is located in the centre of the town, on a quiet street. Boulangeries, supermarket, shops, restaurants and bars are all within walking distance, the charming old port is a 5 minute walk as well as gorgeous walks along the Thau Pond and a 10-minute drive (3 miles / 5kms) to the beautiful sandy beaches. Cycle routes from the town all along the Etang and to the beaches.

Marseillan is a very pretty small town on the Etang de Thau, the second largest lake in France. It lies at the eastern end of the Canal du Midi, the 240km Unesco world heritage site. The lagoon has more than 700 Mediterranean species, including seahorses, it is renowned for its oysters and mussels, some of the best in France.

It is a living village 12 months of the year, summer and winter with Fetes and Festivals throughout the year. (I would be happy to recommend places to visit, what's on when!)

It is approximately 3 miles (5kms) from town to the beautiful Mediterranean with its long sandy beaches. It sits between the larger towns of Sète 23 kms and Agde 8.2kms. It is 8 km from Cap d`Agde and the cities of Montpelier 49 kms, Narbonne 53kms and Bezier 32 kms.

The town has grown around the medieval centre with its character filled narrow streets. La Maison Noilly Prat vermouth is located beside the protected 17th-century harbour, which is filled with thriving cafes, restaurants and bars. Every Tuesday, there is the Grand Marché de Marseillan which is held all year round in the heart of the town. Here you can find all sorts of local seasonal produce and craft products.

excellent seafood and oysters that are said to be the best in France.

Cosmopolitan Montpellier, designer boutiques, Michelin restaurants, cafes, bars,
markets & squares.

The nearest airport (20mins) is Beziers Cap D`Agde with Ryanair flights from Shannon Ireland, Luton, Stanstead, Bristol, Manchester etc... Montpellier airport is 45mins with EasyJet flights from Gatwick and elsewhere in UK. Perpignan and Carcassonne Airports 1 hour, 20 minutes (118 kms). Toulouse Airport 2 hours away (212 kms).

The nearest train station is Agde, 8.2 kms.
