Berkeley- views, food and university!

Our home is comfortable and easy to stay in. There is so much light; at the front from Bedroom #1 are views of San Francisco, the Bay, Golden Gate Bridge, Mt. Tam, Oakland, and out the back through French doors from the kitchen is a large deck with furniture, grill, heater, and umbrellas, and a beautiful garden beyond with a bench to sit and enjoy the views at sunset. It is a lovely building built 1924 with interesting architectural details of the era, but modern features for 21st century comfort. There are stairs to the unit, two flights in the interior and 1 flight at the exterior. We have good wifi, smart TV, toys for children and everything in the kitchen you will need. Laundry is in the garage, and there is parking for one car.

About the location

Depending on which direction you walk, we are 5 blocks from UC Berkeley, 10 blocks to downtown Berkeley and BART transit system, and 5 blocks to the Gourmet Ghetto area of North Berkeley where you will find Chez Panisse and other excellent restaurants and a farmer`s market. We are also 1/4 mile from the large Cordinices Park which has many fun activities for all ages of children, as well as superb public tennis courts and the stunning Berkeley Rose Garden. There is a bus stop right near our building to take you to downtown Berkeley or up to the excellent Lawrence Hall of Science museum. We are 20 min. from Oakland airport and 30-40 from SFO depending on traffic. San Francisco is a 20 min drive or trip on BART. There are numerous acclaimed 100 year old pathways all around us to explore the Berkeley hills. There are wonderful museums nearby, music venues, and the excellent Berkeley Rep theater.
