A Swedish Lake House

We are offering our family’s one-of-a-kind lake house by Lake Bolmen, Sweden, for a two-week exchange.

This charming home, designed by our grandmother and cherished in our family for 90 years, features its own private small beach.

But don’t expect anything luxury, instead Scandinavian living combines the tranquility of the natural surroundings with a focus on well-being and mindfulness.

Although the busy city of Ljungby is very close by, a car is still recommended.

Availability: May, the first two weeks of June, August, and September.

To accommodate existing agreements for 2025, a non-simultaneous exchange can be arranged if needed.

About the location

Lake Bolmen, known for its pristine waters and dotted with over 200 islands, is surrounded by rich forests, picturesque villages, and charming small towns. The location is ideal for nature lovers and explorers alike, positioned midway between Copenhagen (250 km) and Stockholm (450 km).

Nearby attractions include Älmhult, the birthplace of IKEA and home to the world’s only IKEA museum, perfect for a cultural and historical excursion.
