My place is in that sweet spot - close to everything (for Londoners and visitors) but in a real and happy neighbourhood, free of tourists, and rich in diversity.

The apartment is on the first floor (one up from ground level), with its own private front door and street entrance on this attractive street of Edwardian houses.

There is an open plan living room with high, roof-lit ceiling, and a piano if you want to play! This space blends into the dining and kitchen area. The kitchen is compact but fully equipped, with oven, dishwasher, microwave, and all utensils.

The Bathroom has a shower/ bath and washing machine.
There is a south-facing balcony overlooking private gardens, great for breakfast or lunch in good weather.

The main bedroom has a double bed (140cm wide), with lots of storage and a desk with comfortable office chair, and monitor with HDMI cable for your laptop to plug in.

There is also a second bedroom, consisting of a comfortable study /workspace, with a loft double bed, reached by a ladder. The bed area has a double bed, but it's more like a little nest with restricted headroom, it makes a brilliant sleep den!

About the location

The apartment is near Elephant and Castle, geographically the centre of the metropolis, on the fringe of central London (nearest tube is zone 1).

"The Elephant" is a brilliant location, as looking beyond the traffic interchange it is so close to a lot of central London, thanks to the bend in the river.

I live on a street that has a lovely range of people (and we know each other!) - circus performers, academics, tradesmen, publicans, music promotors, financiers, retail people, charity workers, not in work, nurses, costume designers, architects, IT workers, landscape designers, retirees, civil servants, consultants - and many more!

Culturally and foodwise. there's award-winning fringe theatres and a brilliant food scene in walking distance.
The main sites of London (ie the British Museum, Trafalgar Square, Soho, Covent Garden, the City, Shoreditch) are all within 30 mins by public transport.
