Family Home with Pets in lovely market town

Big detached house on the edge of Petersfield bu just a 15-20mins walk into town. Back onto a nature reserve on a quiet close with amazing walks nearby and in 5-10mins drive as we're in the heart of the South Downs.

Home is warm and colourful, with 4 bedrooms and a den that has a sofabed (and play station - excellent teen hangout room!). Large open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room with bifold doors onto a lovely garden that isn't overlooked and a dining table that comfortably sits 14 people. Newly updated with off-street parking and friendly neighbours, we love our home and hope to find mutual exchanges with families, friends or couples who will treat it like their own.

We're looking for a swap to basically anywhere in Europe, we love to explore and lived in the US for 10years where we used AirBnB a lot so we can send you our references as guests, and since moving to Petersfield we've used Trusted House Sitters so again can send you our references as hosts. Have to travel in the school holidays as we have two children aged 13 and 16.

For swaps in the UK if hosts are happy we can bring our dog with us, for swaps abroad we'd prefer our dog stay at home so preference for those who like a canine companion. We can look at boarding him otherwise but the cats would need to stay at home.

Haku is our 2 year old golden retriever. He is utterly delightful, wants to please, snuggly and well behaved, loves his walks and loves companionship. We leave him for up to 4 hours but also have daytime dog care available and dog walkers so you can take full days out without needing to take him with you.

Luna and Neville are also two and a rescue pair of cats. Independant but very affectionate and social. All 3 animals get on brilliantly together.

About the location

Petersfield is a historic market town in the South Downs National Park, only an hour's drive from both Gatwick and Heathrow, 1hr on the train to London or 30mins to Portsmouth, 25mins drive to the nearest beach and 30mins drive to historic Winchester. Ideally located for exploring the South of England, particularly the lovely New Forest which is less than an hour's drive. But the rolling hills of our local area, smattered with excellent pubs, is so lovely you won't want to leave! Really gorgeous walks all around, you're spoilt for choice.

Petersfield has markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays and hosts the Hampshire Farmer's Market the 1st Sunday of every month. A lively community with multiple festivals throughout the year, independant cafes, bookshops, bars and restaurants and a range of supermarkets. Gorgeous Heath with a big lake where you can boat in the summer months as well as the lido outdoor pool. It's ideally located between London and the coast.
