Historic home on the outskirts of Edinburgh
We live in a beautiful building, built in the 1600s as an inn - our house was the first stopping place heading south from Edinburgh. It has lovely features, and was converted to a home by two artists in the 1960s. We recently updated things in the house, including double glazed windows, and a new kitchen.
There's a large garden, and the house is opposite an ancient woodland and river walk.
About the location
Dalkeith is a small suburb on the outskirts of Edinburgh. We are on the edge of Dalkeith, surrounded by woodland. Edinburgh city centre is a 20min drive away, or there's an express bus that goes from outside our door into town in 30-40mins.
