About the location

I live in a quiet residential area called Mitcham. The nearest underground station is a 5 minute bus ride or 20 minute walk called Tooting Broadway. From there it takes 30 minutes to get into tourist areas. From my house it takes 40 minutes but if you have small children under 6, then expect it to take 50 minutes as they will slow you down

You can get the following buses from the bottom of my street 355, 270, 264, 280. They all stop at Tooting Broadway

There is also a overground station 7 minutes walk away called Tooting which also takes you into central london. Overall it is easy to travel from my home.

My area has a lot of bars and restaurants. It has one roof top bar. Also worth checking is Tooting Market and Broadway market in Tooting Broadway. there you will find restaurants from around the world. the vibe on Thursday / Friday and Saturday nights is buzzy.

Regarding airports: Gatwick, Heathrow, London City Airport are all easy to travel to my home. You can also use Luton and Stansted but they are further away.
