This spacious (130 square meters) and comfortable, well-appointed apartment is a short walk from Sydney University and the buzzy neighbourhood of Newtown.

Prior to its conversion to a 30-apartment residence the building was originally an ice-cream factory and warehouse. The apartment is on the top floor (level 3 of a 3-level building), accessible by lift and stairs. The main living area includes the kitchen, a dining area and a lounge/sitting area. The kitchen includes a gas hob, electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee machine. Everything needed for home-cooking is on hand. There is a spacious dining area that seats six and the lounge area includes a smart TV and stereo system. The main room, the bedroom and the study all have reverse-cycle air-conditioning, high ceilings, large windows/doors opening out onto a balcony looking north east towards Sydney Uni and a major teaching hospital. There is plenty of storage. The study is equipped with a desk and printer. It could be used as a second bedroom if you prefer. There is an additional smart TV in the bedroom, which contains a very comfortable queen-sized bed. There is a stand-alone laundry and a recently-renovated bathroom containing both bath and shower. Linen and towels are provided.

The apartment block is in a safe area and the building itself is secure. It is located in a tree-lined street providing refuge from the hustle and bustle of Newtown.

PS: It is a 2-bedroom apartment but we have been using one bedroom as a study
